Objectives:
This
course is designed to prepare participants with knowledge to take the
CIW Foundation and Site designer certification. Upon completion
participates will be able to use key internet technologies,
configure both Netscape navigator and Microsoft internet explorer,
develop web page, cascade style sheet (CSS), JavaScript, XHTML,
DHTML, DOM, Network architecture and standards, networking
protocols, TCP/IP, Internet servicers, security. Student will also
learn how to create and manage Web sites with tools such as
Macromedia Dreamweaver 4.0 and Flash 5.0, FrontPage 2000, Dynamic
HTML, and various multimedia and CSS standards and will implement
the latest strategies to develop third-generation Web sites,
evaluate design tools, discuss future technology standards, and
explore the incompatibility issues surrounding current browsers.
The course focuses on theory, design and Web construction, along
with information architecture concepts, Web project management,
scenario development and performance evaluations.
Prerequisite:
Participants
should be familiar with basic computing,
networking, graphics and other operating systems.
